First Flight of the Mars Ingenuity Helicopter

Given the timing of the drone's first flight attempt I probably won't be watching the briefing live - unless by some bout of insomnia I'm awake at 3:30 a.m! - but I'm excited to see Ingenuity take flight on Mars this weekend/Monday morning. I hope it all goes well for the NASA team.

eta: NASA has pushed the flight back to next Wednesday the 14th

This is totally cool. Until they planned this, I hadn't thought the atmosphere, such as it is, would support flight.

The engineering that went into creating something that will be able to fly in Mars' thin atmosphere amazes me. It's totally cool!
